K-12 Library/Media Specialist, Dolores School District RE-4A, Dolores School Elementary & Middle/High School Libraries

40 hours per week

Evenings/Weekends:

Application deadline: February 25th, 2010

Salary Range: $30,000 - $40,000/yr    Calculate

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education: Master's Degree

Other Educational Credentials:
Must have Colo license,and willingness to earn MLS endorsement or equivalent. Prefer Master's Degree with MLS, NCATE, or equalvalent

Teaching License required

must submit Dolores Schools application, resume, 3 letters of reference, and a copy of license.

Job Description/Duties:
-Knowledge of all aspects of a school library; children's and young adult literature, ability to teach library and research related skills, knowledge and skill in computer technology and resources,
-committed to teaching all students the skills to access current print, non-print & electronic resources
-manage entire library collection & manage the library budget
assist teachers in finding appropriate resources for use in their classrooms
-knowledge of techniques and resources for effective storytelling, reading aloud, and youth programming
-work effectively with teachers and administrators to implement district and school curriculum goals
-promote Board of Education policies & department procedures
-other duties as assigned
