Required Education: Master's Degree

Other Educational Credentials:
Qualified candidates must possess an MLS/ALA degree.

Other Requirements:
The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, and experience with online reference sources likely to be found in an academic library.

Job Description/Duties:
Regis University seeks an On-Call Reference Librarian for occasional work, particularly for nights and weekends, at the Dayton Memorial Library. The library serves a diverse population of 7,500 full time on-campus and online students in the liberal arts, health care, computer science, and business programs. Regis University has a significant adult student and distance education program.

The Reference Librarian will provide reference and information services to library users both in the library and at distant locations by effectively utilizing print and electronic resources (this duty will involve some work assignments at night and on weekends); assist with occasional library tours or brief instruction sessions; provide oversight of the library during duty hours, as necessary; assist with maintaining logs of library statistics, as necessary; and update general library handouts and ensure an adequate supply is on hand.

This is a non-benefited position that reports to the Reference Services Librarian.
