Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Other Educational Credentials:
--Ability to pass NACI background investigation.
--Innovative customer service skills, good research skills w/ knowledge of reference sources.
--Creative, effective PR and excellent communication skills.
--Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office application i.e. Word, Excel, etc. and good keyboard skills required.
Masters Degree in a program of Library and Information Studies preferred
Experience: Library Experience: 3 year(s) preferred
Other Requirements:
--Corrections experience preferred.
--Must have database search experience and online search skills.
--Minimum three years customer support and/or inquiry response experience.

Job Description/Duties:
--Plans, manages and provides outreach services, database searches, and reference support for corrections practitioners and other authorized users of the National Institute of Corrections Information Center and Library.
--Promotes Information Center and library resources and services through a variety of personal, web-based and marketing approaches, including presentations, orientations and product development.
--Develops webpage content.
--Identifies, acquires, and promotes information resources unique to the needs of NIC clientele.
--Facilitates networking and information sharing among NIC's interest groups.
