Library Technician Temporary

Job Description

Works at a public reference desk answering patron questions in person and on the phone. Staff person will retrieve materials and walk stacks to help library visitors in need. Some clerical duties as assigned. Ability to communicate clearly with staff and library visitors important.

Required Education

Associate's Degree

Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree

Experience

2 years of library experience required

2 years of library experience preferred

Language Skills

Spanish is Preferred

Other Required/Preferred Skills & Experience

Applicants should have a strong public service committment and a desire to go the extra mile for our library visitors. A knowledge of reference databases and how to use them is important. Knowledge of ebooks and vendor platforms (Overdrive) a plus.
