Job Description

The Marmot Library Network offers an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded IT professional who enjoys a broad range of responsibilities in an organization valuing teamwork and innovation. The Systems Librarian plays a primary role managing and supporting a VuFind catalog discovery system, and helps support a Millennium Integrated Library System (ILS) and a network of 925 computers in 73 locations.

Grand Junction is a terrific base for exploring the Western Slope of Colorado. Mesa County (population 150,000) offers city amenities as well as small town charms. And when you need a hit of city life, Denver is just 4 hours away.

Other Education Credentials

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or technical certification with comparable experience is required.

Experience

1 years of professional experience preferred

1 years of library experience required

Other Required/Preferred Skills & Experience

One to three years of progressively responsible systems administration in Windows and Linux environments; database reporting software and applications; SQL and basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Javascript, PHP, Python, or Ajax is required.
