PublicThis position performs mid-level professional duties under the general direction of a Librarian III and will direct the Adult Services Division in the absence of the Librarian III.
Searches for, locates and retrieves information/materials in answer to reference questions delivered in person, by phone and by e-mail. Explains the use of equipment including the online catalog, databases, microform reader-printers and scanner, and eReaders. Directs patrons to shelf locations. Oversees collection development of the media collections to include evaluating, selecting, and recommending for purchase, and weeding this collection. Maintains book club kit collection and supporting reading materials. Provides bibliographic instruction and tours to individuals and groups. Assists with the training and development of staff in the Adult Services Division.
