Job Description

75% PATRON ASSISTANCE - Assists patrons by giving directions, checking the catalog and shelf for requested items, assisting with basic reference and reader's advisory, opening a library account, demonstrating the use of self-check, and collecting fines and fees in order to satisfy requests for basic services. 25% ASSISTANCE WITH TECHNOLOGY - Assists patrons by instructing them on how to use library computers to reserve materials, make a reservation for a computer, print information, use the Internet, and use Microsoft Office in order to satisfy request for assistance with library technology.

The Community

The Arapahoe Library District, a public library system serving more than 200,000 residents living in Arapahoe County. Arapahoe County and other major suburban counties make up the greater metropolitan area surrounding Denver, Colorado. The Arapahoe Library District operates eight branch libraries, an Outreach Service that provides mobile library services, and a library at the County Detention Center, funded by the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Department. A seven-member Board of Trustees sets the library budget and determines policy.
