Library Technician, Community Services Department

Job Description

Provide reference assistance to customers in the adult, reference, audio/visual, or periodicals services areas. Provide administrative and technical tasks in support of Library with computer and software maintainance. Will also perform duties in support of periodical services and other duties as assigned.

Required Education

Associate's Degree

Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree

Experience

2 years of professional experience required

2 years of professional experience preferred

2 years of library experience required

3 years of library experience preferred

Language Skills

Spanish is Preferred

Other Required/Preferred Skills & Experience

Ability to work well with staff amd library customers. Good knowledge of basic electronic reference resources. Some knowledge of ebooks and the devices ebooks are downloaded to.
