Teen Librarian

Job Description

This is part-time position regularly scheduled 28 hours/week and includes part-time benefits.

Mamie Doud Eisenhower Library is currently seeking a dynamic, friendly, and energetic Teen Librarian. Plans and implements cutting edge programming and outreach to teens, including an active teen advisory board and extensive summer reading program. Oversees and develops STEM programming initiatives, the iPad media station, and homework help services. Provides reference and readers advisory services to patrons of all ages. Selects and maintains specific areas of the teen collection. Creates marketing and publicity materials for the teen department. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual with a passion for working with teens.

Required Education

Master's Degree

Other Education Credentials

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Library Science or Library & Information Studies.

Other Required/Preferred Skills & Experience

Previous young adult library experience preferred.
