Reference Librarian

Job Description

Works as a key team member in planning, publicizing and implementing a variety of adult and general public library services and programs for a public library Information and Adult Services Department. This is an outstanding opportunity to contribute to advancing the implementation of emerging technologies and patron-centered services in a dynamic suburban community located between Denver and Boulder, Colorado. Work includes public reference desk, public computing services, and specialized information services. Assists with the development of adult print and electronic collections and augmentation of a successful portfolio of adult cultural and educational programs. Plans and implements marketing strategies for departmental services and collections. Works with other library staff and community partners to evaluate service quality, community responsiveness, and advances in the library field that will best serve the local community.

Required Education

Master's Degree

Other Education Credentials

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Library Science or Library & Information Studies.

Other Required/Preferred Skills & Experience

Previous library or related adult reference experience preferred
