Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, have experience with budgeting, library finance and applicable federal and state library law. MLS and 5 years progressively responsible library experience including management and supervision, preferably in public libraries, community outreach and familiarity with the broad range of library technologies and trends required.
Salary range: in the 60s, depending on qualifications

Bayfield is located in Southwest Colorado’s Pine River Valley and lies in La Plata County. The Pine River (locally called Los Pinos) starts at the top of the valley, flowing south from Vallecito Reservoir through Bayfield, and then toward Ignacio. It ultimately joins the San Juan River in Navajo Reservoir, and eventually the mighty Colorado River.
