Job Description

Job Summary The Auraria Digital Resources Center (ADRC) is an academic support facility that serves the art departments of the Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and University of Colorado Denver on the Auraria Campus located in downtown Denver. The Coordinator will assist in developing and maintaining departmental resources. ADRC Coordinator Job Duties: •Manages the workflow associated with an ongoing high volume digital asset collection development center •Processes digital media capture and processing for images/audio/video formats •Maintains and develops departmental website at the direction of the manager •Researches and catalogues art collections •Provides reference guidance and user orientation to faculty, students and staff •Assists in supervising/training student employees and directing student workflow The position is 50% time (20 hours per week) with benefits. Out-of-state candidates will be responsible for their own travel arrangements to attend interviews. Minimum Qualifications •Bachelor’s degree in related field. •Experience with digital asset management systems, such as LUNA/Insight or similar •Broad knowledge and experience with western and non-western cultural objects. Required Competencies/Knowledge, Skills and abilities •Familiarity with media capture; digital archiving standards including file formats and preservation; digital imaging hardware and software. •Understanding of content management systems and web design. •Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work assignments, and ability to work under deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail. •Ability to work constructively in a team environment Desired Qualifications •Experience cataloging artworks using VRA Core and Cataloging Cultural Objects (CCO). •Experience supervising student workers. •Experience working constructively with faculty, students, and staff.
