Salary: $41,885 - $52,357 per year, plus benefits.
Hours: Full-time, exempt position. Ability to work evenings and weekends, required
Develops and delivers mobile library services and programs for diverse populations of all ages.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
50% SERVICE – Provides service by conducting patron interviews, providing advanced reference and reader's advisory services, recommending resources and employing search strategies in order to satisfy patron requests of an advanced nature. Also delivers service to mobile library patrons by applying safe driving techniques on Library on Wheels vehicles.
25% OUTREACH - Develops and implements outreach service by identifying, understanding, and relating service to community needs. Also delivers outreach service to diverse populations by recommending and implementing mobile programs and services in order to serve the needs of targeted populations.
25% MENTOR - Mentors paraprofessional staff and guides volunteers by scheduling, training and guiding them in mobile library services in order to provide outstanding and personalized library service to internal and external customers.

Established in 1966, the Arapahoe Library District serves more than 200,000 residents living in Arapahoe County. Arapahoe County and other major suburban counties make up the greater metropolitan area surrounding Denver, Colorado.
The Arapahoe Library District operates eight branch libraries, an Outreach Service that provides mobile library services, and a library at the County Detention Center, funded by the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Department. A seven-member Board of Trustees sets the library budget and determines policy.
Spanish is Preferred
Two years to five years of similar or related experience, preferred
MLS degree, required
Ability to travel to other work/library locations, as needed, required
Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, required
Ability to work with varying demographics, including international cultures, children, young adults, and seniors, required
Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL), or valid Colorado driver's license and ability to obtain a CDL within six weeks of hire, required
Ability to successfully pass a post-offer physical and drug screen, required
Ability to assist patrons with advanced technology needs, required
Ability to be mobile 100% of the time and sit as needed; ability to bend, stoop, reach, and push a loaded wheeled book truck weighing up to 100 pounds, 20% of the time, required
Fluency in Spanish, preferred
Advanced technology skills, including advanced assessment scores for Windows, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Outlook, required
Committed to provide outstanding and personalized customer service to patrons and coworkers
Experience with developing and conducting programs and services for all ages, preferred
Ability to work in a confined environment with fluctuating temperatures, required
Ability to provide reader's and viewer's advisory services to patrons of all ages
Ability to focus on the customer, show integrity, be inclusive, enjoy learning and have fun
