Job Description
The Library Shelver position is responsible for routine library work, concerning primarily the sorting, shelving of library materials, and performing other tasks to keep the collections in order.
Position is a 19 hours per week, non-benefited position located at Irving Street Library, 7392 Irving Street, Westminster, Colorado. Hours for this position are: Monday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.; Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.; Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.; and Saturday, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The full salary range for this position is stated above. The starting range of pay is dependent on qualifications and experience of each individual candidate.
Required:
- Graduation from high school or GED, or currently enrolled in high school working towards a high school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated ability to perform essential job functions
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age
Preferred:
- General knowledge of arithmetic, numbers, and the alphabet
- General knowledge of standard office and clerical practices
- Working knowledge of policies, procedures, and terminology used within the library
- Working knowledge of classification systems used by the library
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which would provide the required knowledge and skills, may be considered.
