Job Description
Library Systems & Services, LLC (LSSI) has an opening for the part-time position of Library Associate located in the Red Oak Public Library, in Red Oak, Tx.
The position's primary responsibilities are:
- Welcoming and registering patrons, issuing cards and managing patron accounts.
- Shelving library materials.
- Assisting patrons with locating materials, using computers, and explaining procedures (checking out, logging onto the Internet, making copies, etc.) as needed.
- Collect and accurately record fines, fees, service charges and other monies.
- Keep patrons informed of library policies and procedures.
- Serve customers in person, on the telephone, by e-mail or other means of communication.
- Develop and implement summer reading programs and preschool, school-age, and teen reading programs, including outreach, promotional events and collaboration/partnerships with other entities that serve children and families.
- Develop and implement adult reading programs including outreach, promotional events and collaboration/partnerships with other entities.
