Job Description

DEPARTMENT HEAD – Children Services – The Fremont County Library in Riverton, Wyoming seeks a collaborative, energetic and creative professional to lead our children’s team. Riverton, located near the Wind River Range in the beautiful Wind River Valley and at the border of the Wind River Indian Reservation is a vital, active college town with a population of 10,000. Our spacious, beautiful library is a gem of the community and a popular gathering place for all ages. 

Applicants will supervise staff, plan, implement and oversee children’s programming, activities, as well as all aspects of running the department, including collection development.  Applicant will be asked to participate at Wyoming State Library events and to serve as a library advocate in the community.  Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree, with two years of professional library experience preferred. Supervisory skills a plus. Valid driver’s license required. Position is 40 hours per week, with some nights and Saturdays.
