Job Description
Access/Information, Inc. (A/I) has an immediate opening for a full-time Research Specialist. The Research Specialist provides research assistance, ranging from simple reference questions to in-depth research projects and administrative support for law firms both onsite and at remote locations. Law firm responsibilities also include ordering and processing library materials, maintaining the libraries, and providing research Additional duties include assisting A/I with court document retrieval, retrieving hard to find bibliographic citations, and researching public records. The Research Specialist is also responsible for conducting database research in a wide variety of topics including the following: market analysis, competitor intelligence, industry trends, legislative research, new products, supply chains, and other customized subjects. The ideal candidate will be able to synthesize research results, identify the key business issues, and communicate the results in a concise business report.
9:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday - Friday
Additional Info & Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Up-to-date computer skills (including Word and Excel)
- Experience with commercial fee-based databases such as Lexis, Westlaw, and ProQuest, as well as advanced Internet research skills
- A demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with others, and high attention to detail are expected
- Two to three years legal research experience desired
- Two to three years business research desired
- Car and valid driver’s license
