Job Description
POSITION: The University of Northern Colorado Libraries will establish a pool of candidates from which appointments to temporary part-time positions may be made. This temporary applicant pool is expected to remain continuously active through June 30, 2015. The responsibilities will vary and may include:
Reference: Partner with subject librarians on collection development work; provide reference/research consultation services as part of the on-call team; deliver course-integrated library instruction; and assist with special projects and programs as assigned.
Instruction: Deliver workshops to UNC students in the Libraries “Core Library Instruction Program” for English composition classes; deliver tours and instruction to other groups; and assist with special projects as assigned.
Archival Services: Arrange, describe, digitize, and create metadata for primary source materials held in the collections of the Archival Services Department in accordance with established archival standards.
Successful applicants must be committed to quality service at the university level and have excellent interpersonal skills.

SALARY AND BENEFITS: The positions will be paid on an hourly basis. The hourly rate will be based upon experience. Minimum: $16.50/hr.
REQUESTED START DATE: August 20, 2014 (negotiable)
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Experience delivering academic library instruction workshops; experience working in a technology-mediated service delivery model; experience creating digital learning objects, online tutorials, and help guides; experience conducting library research and assessment activities; experience with collection development of tangible and electronic resources; experience working with archival materials.
