Job Description
Respond and provide assistance to library customers in the use of library services and equipment; participate in developing, preparing, coordinating, scheduling and providing special library programs for children including Every Child Ready to Read workshops at Library Branches; participate in outreach opportunities for day care centers, church and civic groups, the Metropolitan Detention Center, and other interested groups.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE: Operations, services and activities of a municipal library. Principles of efficient and effective customer services. Available library resources including the reference collection, serials collection and other online resources.
PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Prepared and coordinate children's library programs. Responde to requests and inquiries from the general public. Work independently in the absence of supervision.
