Job Description
Under the general direction of the Library Director, this position performs collection development for adult print and audio materials and provides leadership in coordinating activities of reference and staff development. Works as part of an administrative team in establishing the activities and direction of the library system.
This position is based in the Administrative Office in Prince Frederick.
Full Time, 35 hours per week
Schedule: Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Occasional weekend and evening hours
Salary range is $56,020 to $83,119 plus competitive medical, dental and vision benefits and a Maryland State Retirement Plan. This position is exempt.
Required Education/Experience:
- MLS/MLIS from ALA accredited institution with 4 years of progressively responsible library experience or Bachelor’s Degree and Library Associate Certificate with 6 years of progressively responsible library experience.

The library has two outreach vehicles, 54.2 FTE, circulation over 1 million, budget of $3.9 million, our librarians answered almost 154,000 reference questions and over 55,000 customers attended library events.
