Job Description

The Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Technician supports the Interlibrary Loan Department with essential data entry and processing of incoming and outgoing loans. This position also manages the movement of Book Club Express kits to and from the branches. Work is performed under general supervision.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for ILL data entry of Ill titles in POs in Horizon; editing, approving and receiving records in PO’s in Horizon.
  • Processing of incoming and outgoing Interlibrary Loans. Ability to load items into crates and bins.
  • Responsible for patron returns of Book Club Express kits; checking contents, placing block on patron account if fees have been assessed.
  • Successfully represents the library with tact and courtesy to patrons, staff, and representatives of other library systems. Demonstrates interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. Acts professionally under pressure.
