Job Description

The Longmont Public Library is looking for an enthusiastic individual who combines a love for the art of cataloging with a desire for hands on, customer service.  This position catalogs and processes library materials (approximately 30 hours/week) and assists library patrons in the computer lab (approximately 10 hours/week).   Cataloging duties will focus on children and teen materials.  In the lab, you will be helping patrons who have a wide range of skill levels and comfort with technology.  

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:  Provide support to library catalog by cataloging and processing both print and non-print library materials.  Copy-cataloging as well as some original cataloging may be required.   Serve at the public reference desk (adult computer lab), interview patrons by telephone or in person.  Locate information in assigned area using computerized databases and library tools.

Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency desirable.
