Job Description

MGMA has an exciting opportunity for a Knowledge Center Coordinator.  This individual will be responsible for researching, analyzing and answering inquiries and reference questions for members and staff.  Become part of our Knowledge Center team and a health business research expert by providing requested information to our members.  The ideal candidate is agile, service minded and likes to work independently as well as with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Answer emails and calls from members regarding a wide range of health business related topics. Conduct information searches, consult reference material, and maintain reference services.
  • Capture and tag information in the knowledge system.
  • Tag subject content for search on our web site.
  • Process library periodical material. Process, catalog, maintain, and input all Information System material into the online system.
  • Coordinate archiving process. Responsible for cataloging, storage and retrieval of historical documents.
  • Perform a variety of administrative functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Resources, Library Science, Communications, Business, Health Care, or related field.
  • 2-5 years’ experience working in an information, association, library or knowledge management environment.
  • Experience managing knowledge and information with online databases and Web-based services.
  • Ability to conduct research and write reports.
  • Experience working in a health care and/or association environment preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship building skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills.
