Jefferson County is currently looking to fill the positon of Operations Page at their Belmar Library. The Belmar Library is located in the vibrant Belmar Shopping District in the heart of Lakewood.

In addition to performing all of the tasks of a Page, you will direct the work of the Pages by setting priorities for the day and initiating best practices. This position delivers a high level of customer service. You will work closely with staff and volunteers and will be performing miscellaneous tasks to keep the collections in order. Your duties will include: responding to patron questions, participating in the merchandising of materials, helping patrons locate materials and refering patrons to others when necessary.

Many of your duties will include material processing and other "back of the house" functions which directly impact the customer experience in our libraries. Work involves sorting, shelving, organizing materials into their proper sequence and operating an automated sorter.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Handle material processing and back room functions, ensure that all materials are checked in, routed, pulled and shelved properly. Process involves use of an automated sorting machine and troubleshooting equipment to ensure it operates correctly. Operate standard office equipment and computer workstations. Read shelves, shift and straighten materials on shelves.

Under the direction of the Operation Supervisor makes recommendations and takes initiative regarding best practices and procedures for Pages. Monitors the performance of substitutes and volunteers
