Open Positions: Systems and Digital Services Librarian; Student Success Coordinator; Digital Systems, Training, and Support Coordinator; Grants and Fiscal Support Coordinator

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock's Collections and Archives division is in the beginning stage of implementing a bold vision for a technology-rich library and archives organization at the center of Arkansas' top metropolitan, community-engaged research university.

The division is seeking applicants for several new positions that will be pivotal in implementing that bold vision. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but submissions are recommended by July 20

The Systems and Digital Services Librarian/Assistant Professor (R99683) is a 12-month library faculty position with rank leading to tenure. Reporting to the Discovery and Access Coordinator, the librarian is responsible for administering the ILS (Innovative Sierra) and supporting other discovery and access information systems, contributing to the technology strategy and projects planning efforts of the division, collaborating with students and other faculty, supporting the development of search and access systems, and assisting with training and development efforts. The Digital Systems, Training, and Support Coordinator (R97134) is a professional staff position reporting to the Director of Technology and Digital Initiatives. The coordinator is responsible for developing and managing the day-to-day technology operation of the Collections and Archives division, which includes three locations: Center for Arkansas History and Culture, Ottenheimer Library, and Sequoyah National Research Center. We are looking for candidates who can implement, manage, and automate a range of server, desktop, and mobile systems; provide technology training and support to colleagues, faculty, and students; collaborate with a variety of people on projects involving technology; and manage a small staff. The Student Success Coordinator (R97127) is a 12-month library faculty position with rank leading to tenure. Reporting to the Ottenheimer Library Director, the Student Success Coordinator provides leadership in the development and provision of library services that support students and faculty in their academic success.  The Coordinator leads the Library’s instruction, campus outreach, and community engagement initiatives; coordinates library collaboration and engagement with campus units in the support of student success, recruitment, and retention; oversees library support for online courses, e-learners, distance learners, and external campus partners; supervises librarians and staff; and collaborates in the creation and management of a new learning commons. The Grants and Fiscal Support Coordinator (R99677). This position will report to the Administration and Finance Director.  The Coordinator will support each of the three units that make up the Collections and Archive division – Center for Arkansas History and Culture, Ottenheimer Library, and the Sequoyah National Research Center; coordinate the granting process including monitoring and reporting, act as liaison with the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs; oversee Human Resource processes; collaborate with Facilities Management; communicate with vendors; and prepare Division reports, documents and other communications materials.
