Job Description
This full-time, 12 month position provides personalized services and resources to students to address their academic, social, or professional needs.
Mentors, advises, and tutors students, offering counseling and support through an ongoing relationship in order to advance academic, social and professional development among the student body of the university
Develops and facilitates experiential trainings in order to improve student behaviors with study methods, test-taking strategies, and note-taking
Determines effective approaches for instructors to interact with students
Promotes academic enrichment by offering sessions on college writing skills, reading comprehension, creative writing, and a series of other academic enrichment programs to enhance student performance
Supervises and manages student employees to enhance their academic and professional development
Performs other duties as assigned

The Center for Academic Support is located on the second floor of the Denver Campus Library.
Experience working with students with learning challenges within a higher education environment.
Experience working in disability services within a higher education environment.
Ability to collaborate with staff, faculty, and parents when appropriate.

Must be able to work evenings and weekends. Scheduled work hours for the academic year are currently Sunday through Wednesday, noon to 9:00 pm. Must also be able to work occasional events outside of these hours. Summer hours may vary.
