Job Description

What You'd Do:

Lead the Community Technology Center team, including the SM Energy ideaLAB. Coordinate system-wide efforts to promote and enhance the Technology Access and Training Focus Area of the strategic plan. Lead program planning, development and assessment for existing and new makerspaces throughout the system. Formulate and lead the strategic and operational initiatives and budget of the Division and Central Library in conjunction with the Director, Central Library Administrator and other Managers. Examine and propose ideal staffing levels and structures to best deliver successful technology access and training to customers. Evaluate technology training needs and competencies of Denver Public Library staff in order to develop and coordinate training and evaluation.Create and maintain strong relationships with the community and staff.

A Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution.

Five years of post-MLS professional-level library experience including two in at least one of the following: technology management, emerging technologies, technology training or managing makerspace or public computer lab.

Two years supervisory experience.

Although the full salary range for this position is provided, offers depend on qualifications and typically do not exceed the midpoint.  The City and County of Denver benefit package will be offered.

The schedule will be determined by the needs of the department and may include evening and weekend hours.
