Summary: Manages the volunteer programs of the Library District. Assesses needs, determines priorities, oversees the recruitment, training, management and support of District volunteers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Recruits, interviews, and places applicants for volunteer work, and conducts their orientation.
Identifies appropriate supervising staff for volunteers and coordinates training.
Works regularly with District staff to identify volunteer needs and forecast short and long-term demands.
Develops diverse, appealing and useful volunteer opportunities that support the District’s needs.
Establishes plans, strategies and goals for the volunteers.
