Job Description

The Philip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock has a fun and exciting “first job” opportunity for the right candidates! We have three openings for P/T Teen Services Assistants, 12 hrs/wk each, evenings and weekends required. The employees will assist patrons in retrieving library materials, provide support and assistance for all youth programming including teen programs, provide reader’s advisory help, shelve books and other materials, and give light computer assistance to our patrons.

Additional Info & Requirements

Evenings and weekends required. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to excellent customer service skills, and must be an effective communicator particularly with children and teens. Experience as a volunteer with books and libraries is helpful. Must have ability to learn library procedures and library computer system. Requires ability to bend to floor level, light unloading, lifting and carrying up to 5-20 lbs, and moving full book trucks.
