Job Description

The Elizabeth Taber Library is a small, historic (but modern) library in the beautiful seaside community of Marion, MA. 

Under the general direction of the Library Director, the Circulation Supervisor performs and oversees  tasks related to the circulation of library materials.

Responsibilities include:

• Act as the circulation contact for the library, communicate with interlibrary loan delivery service and MLS, attend SAILS circulation meetings, convey any information, policy or procedural changes to other circulation staff. 

• Perform general desk duties, circulation of library materials, tech help, holds processing, managing interlibrary loan process, fine/fee payments, display creation, readers advisory, handles process for missing, lost, and damaged items, and other similar responsibilities. 

• Participate, with the Library Director and in coordination with the other library staff, in setting/changing policies and procedures for circulation services.

• Train and familiarize staff in circulation procedures.

• Supervise minor repairs on library materials.

• Maintain and order supplies for circulation and facilities.

• Perform other duties as assigned

Schedule includes:

30 hours a week. Some Saturdays and evenings required.
