Job Description

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will provide reference services including instruction and assistance to library users, staffing the reference desk, collection development, and participating on the reference team. Instruction and outreach to the Mines community are an important part of this position. Some evening and weekend hours are required. The position serves as a liaison to academic departments and on committees for the Library, the university, and other organizations, contributes to the profession, engages in scholarship, and participates in special projects as assigned.

Either a bachelor’s degree in a science/engineering field or experience in science/engineering librarianship. The Community

The Library supports the information and educational needs of Mines, primarily in science and engineering, and provides technical information to the regional community. Located in Golden, Colorado, at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and just minutes away from downtown Denver, Mines is a public university with an enrollment of over 4,200 students in undergraduate and graduate degree programs in engineering, science and related disciplines.
