Job Description
Shifts will be: Mon. 10-7, Tues. 10-7, Wed. 10-7, Sat. 9:45-5 Circulation functions, including checkin/out, shelving and shelf-reading, materials retrieval, and courier preparation (lifting up to 40 pounds); cash-handling (fines and fees); reference & reader’s advisory assistance using print and online sources; may give instruction to computer users in Internet searching and Microsoft Office products (Note: we will be switching to Office 2007 in the 2nd quarter of 2009—training will be provided). Other duties may include: helping with evening programs (inc. setup/teardown of AV equipment), assisting with Summer Reading programs, float-building, Christmas tree decorating, and occasional Teen-herding.Additional Info & Requirements
The Eaton Public Library is a Member of the High Plains Library District.Exceptional customer service skills Commitment to follow library policies and confidentiality laws Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (2003 and/or 2007) Ability to operate standard office machines (fax, copier, etc.) Sense of humor Experience with Horizon ILS (preferred)The Community
