Job Description
The St. Francis Public Library Board is seeking a creative and dynamic leader to become our next Library Director. The successful candidate will plan, direct and coordinate all library activities and should possess a positive, achievement-oriented attitude. We are looking for someone with skills in fostering community relations, knowledge of library trends and technology, and the ability to build a team environment. The position requires an MLS from an ALA-accredited school, Wisconsin Grade One certification, and 5 years library experience with progressive responsibility and 2 years supervisory experience.The Community
St. Francis is a city of 9,000. We are a small closely-knit community with tree-lined streets connected with sidewalks. St. Francis has a diversity of housing from starter houses up to luxury condominiums. We have a fine neighborhood school system. St. Francis is conveniently located within the Milwaukee Metropolitan Area. We are less than 10 minutes from Mitchell International airport, and downtown Milwaukee with its many attractions. We lie along Lake Michigan and have 2 county parks and a local park within our boundaries.HR Info
