Job Description

- Serves as the coordinator for all instruction requests - Prepares and presents library tours, orientation programs, and tailored lectures to students, staff and faculty - Works collaboratively with faculty to develop student information literacy and competency skills - Develops and updates LibGuides - Provides reference assistance to patrons at the Library's Information Desk - Performs routine circulation tasks such as registering patrons, interpreting status of patron accounts, checking in and out library materials, answering inquiries regarding borrower services and policies and accepting payments for fines and bills. - Opens and/or closes the library on designated days

Required: - Strong interest in providing instruction services - Experience teaching information literacy skills and library instruction - Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues, faculty, staff and students - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Excellent organizational skills and an aptitude for detailed work - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications - Customer service experience preferably in a library setting - Exceptional reliability - Ability to work independently with minimum supervision Preferred: - Subject knowledge in business, culinary or hospitality - Familiarity with Innovative Interfaces Inc (III)
