Job Description

An outstanding opportunity to join the progressive Pueblo City-County Library District could be yours! PCCLD is looking for a dynamic professional librarian to join one of our superior library teams in the positive and proactive service of our community. Under the supervision of the Associate Director - Public Services, this is an exciting opportunity to be a team leader, and to provide highly responsible professional and supervisory direction in planning and managing a comprehensive program of service for the Barkman Library. This neighborhood library is approximately 7,000 square feet and serves a diverse urban population, circulating more than 140,000 items per year. The work is performed exercising considerable professional skill, discretion, initiative, excellent communication skills, and independent judgment.

Additional Info & Requirements

We are seeking a team player and professional librarian with a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association, with two years of progressively responsible library experience, including one year in a supervisory or administrative capacity. Our choice candidate will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, finely-tuned active listening skills and problem solving skills. The desire to seek, serve and make connections with all library staff, community members, and customers is essential.
