Job Description

Job Summary: The Assistant Librarian will perform a wide variety of general library duties that assist with the daily operational needs of the Library. This position will also help the Library Director with special projects as needed. Essential Functions: •Greet and direct patrons to various locations •Check materials in and out using a computer terminal •Answer the phone •Register new patrons on the library computer system •Use a computer terminal to provide information to the students and faculty •Train students and staff on library's computer system usage •Receive and resolve complaints or refer library users to a Librarian •Collect and record fines and fees •Shelve books Other duties may be assigned and/or reassigned as needed ADA Statement: Each individual possesses different abilities to accomplish the same result.
