Appointment and Salary: The successful candidate will be appointed as a full-time lecturer at $3000 per month. This appointment will end no later than June 30, 2010. The Collection Development Department at the University of Colorado at Boulder has a temporary position for a support librarian for the remainder of the 2009-10 fiscal year. This position holds the rank of lecturer and reports to the Faculty Director for Collection Development. Primary duties include a variety of collections management and materials budget-related projects as well as support activities for virtual approval plans for monographs, electronic resources, consortia packages, and ebooks. This position coordinates training and support for bibliographers and may assume bibliographer responsibilities in an area of the candidate’s expertise. Job Responsibilities: 1. Set up trials, post updates to new resources, monitor evaluations of trials 2. Coordinate vendor visits, presentations, training 3. Provide Collection Manager set-up, training, and support 4. Review freely available resources for problems with their terms of use 5. Oversee instructional video requests 6. Participate in resolving authentication issues as applicable 7. Participate in special projects for collection development such as Norlin stacks management, serials cancellations, etc. 8. Keep abreast of emerging technologies related to electronic resources. 9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
