Job Description

The Douglas County Libraries has an exciting and challenging f/t (40 hrs/wk) Senior Systems Administrator position available in our IT Department. This expert-level position is responsible for the maintenance, operation, and planning of the enterprise technical systems including, but not limited to network servers, data storage services, network operating systems, enterprise imaging, email system, data backup and recovery systems, and data access security. The position is responsible for the strategic design and implementation of in-house information systems and networked software architectures that support core organizational functions.

Salary begins at $4,659.20, but could be increased based on the applicant’s level of skills and experience. Generous benefits are available. Our top candidates will have: • At least 6 years work experience developing and designing systems in a complex environment where integrating different solutions was key. • 5-10 yrs. datacenter/server infrastructure experience. • A minimum of 5 yrs experience with Microsoft Server Technologies, Open Source Enterprise level technologies and Server, SAN, Desktop Virtualization Technologies experience is required. • A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science/engineering or information systems management is required.
