Job Description
The Douglas County History Research Center, a department with Douglas County Libraries, has a great special project opportunity for an Archives Processor. This is a temporary 16 hr/wk project that will last approximately 10-12 months. The work involves scanning historic Douglas County School District records and transcribing the information from the scanned images to a database. As directed by the Associate Director and the Archivists, may be asked to promote awareness of preservation/conservation practices to staff and public by providing information and instruction.Additional Info & Requirements
Demonstrated ability to use networked PCs, Windows XP, and Word software applications is required. Top candidates will be detail-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to produce accurate work. We need a candidate with good interpersonal skills who is self-motivated. Experience with archival methods and theory, or knowledge of archival methods and theory through coursework, is desired.The Community
