Job Description

The successful candidate will provide reference services including instruction and assistance to library users, staffing the reference desk, collection development, and participating on the reference team. Instruction and outreach to the Mines community are an important part of this position. Some evening and weekend hours are required. The position serves as a liaison to academic departments and on committees for the Library, the university, and other organizations, contributes to the profession, engages in scholarship, and participates in special projects as assigned.

The Arthur Lakes Library of Colorado School of Mines invites applications for the anticipated faculty position of Reference Librarian. The Library supports the information and educational needs of Mines, primarily in science and engineering, and provides technical information to the regional community. The Library is staffed by 11 faculty librarians and 11 paraprofessionals. More information on the Library can be found at http://library.mines.edu/.
