Job Description
The Poudre River Public Library District seeks a strong, visionary, self-directed and experienced professional to lead the District’s Main Library into a dynamic future. The Main Library Manager is a newly created position. The District is reorganizing its management structure, working to become a learning organization, and adopting an inclusive, team leadership model that aligns with the needs of our customers. The Main Library is in the initial phase of an expansion and significant remodel that will transform the library into a flexible, responsive, exciting and inviting space poised for the future. The Main Library Manager will lead the staff of the Main Library, serve on the District’s senior management team, evaluate facilities and services, and anticipate future customer needs and demands to insure the highest quality library services. Minimum qualifications: ALA Accredited Masters Degree in Library and Information Science. Five or more years of increasingly responsible professional library experience including at least 3 years of supervisory experience. A record of professional initiative, creativity, community engagement, strategic planning, budgeting, project management and collaborative team work is essential.
