Job Description

Library Services Coordinator for Students Position Title: Library Services Coordinator for Students Reports to: Director of Library and Archives Department: Allen Ginsberg Library Hours: 40 (100% fte) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Wage: $12.00–$12.75 Job Summary: The Library Services Coordinator for Students is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of all library services that affect the student experience at Naropa. Primary areas of responsibility are print and electronic reserves, interlibrary loan, audiovisual equipment and research workstations, stacks maintenance, and supervision of work-study Circulation Assistants. Evening and weekend hours required. Detailed Responsibilities: • Supervise library work studies: Hires, trains, supervises, evaluates, and assigns duties to library work studies. Oversees the library work study budget with Administrative Coordinator. • Oversee all circulation services: Supervises and ensures smooth operation of the Circulation Desk. • Oversee print reserves: Manages print reserves services. Maintains regular contact with faculty as necessary. Develops and implements related policies and procedures. • Oversee electronic reserves: Maintains online reserves system and monitors uploaded documents. • Oversee audiovisual equipment: Maintains A/V reservation system and monitors A/V equipment inventory. Makes recommendations for A/V equipment repairs and purchases. • Oversee interlibrary loan: Conducts and supervises interlibrary loan service. Serves as liaison to the regional OCLC provider. Compiles data and reports as needed and on request. • Coordinate building services: Conducts and coordinates stacks maintenance and preservation. Plans and supervises shifting projects as needed and assigned. • Additional responsibilities: Participates in general library duties. Plans, develops, and implements various special projects as needed or assigned.

Required Qualifications: • Customer service experience. • Supervisory experience. • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Basic knowledge of audiovisual equipment hardware and software. • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and possess a sense of humor. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous library experience strongly preferred. • Interest in professional development and training opportunities.
