The Fremont County Library Board of Trustees is looking for a hero. But not just any hero! We are hiring one person to fill the position of Library Director who oversees and advocates for our three Branch Libraries in Lander, Dubois and Riverton as well as several community libraries that serve the 38,000 people in Fremont County, Wyoming. Our library system is gifted with outstanding and experienced managers and staff who are ready to work hard with new leadership to bring our residents new and innovative library experiences while maintaining the quality services and programs they have come to expect. We are seeking an energetic, politically savvy and diplomatic individual to work with us as we build ties and relationships in our communities to continue to sell libraries and library values to the general public. Applicants will have the following qualifications: MLS from an ALA-accredited library program, and 5 or more years of progressively responsible public library experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary range is mid-$60,000’s with a full benefit package. Responsibilities include: hiring, training and supervision of library employees; budgeting and fiscal management; oversight of programs and services; collaboration and consensus-building; planning; assisting supporting boards in fulfilling their mission.
