Job Description

•Check-in, processing, and claiming of journal issues •Create serials summary holdings statements •Update OCLC holdings and Horizon ILS item records • Provide circulation desk coverage • Fill requests for electronic content and Interlibrary Loans • Shelve library materials, file maps, and label materials • Scan historical photographs and create metadata records

The Community

The USGS Denver Library is the second largest library branch in a network of 24 USGS libraries. While the USGS Library’s primary customers are on and off-site USGS scientists engaged in varied complex research projects carrying out the Survey's mission, library services are heavily utilized by other professionals as well as the general public. The Denver Library holds more than 350,000 volumes, 170,000 maps, and houses extensive special collections of historical photography and scientific field records.
