The City of Cañon City is accepting applications for the position of Archivist/Curator for the Library/Museum Department. The primary purpose of this position is to provide organized management of the Royal Gorge Regional Museum and History Center. Duties include collecting, preserving, managing and providing access to historical materials, and supervising staff, under the direction and supervision of the Department Director. Qualifications include Bachelor’s degree in Archeology, History, Anthropology, Museum Studies, Library Science/Archivist or related field, with museum training and a minimum of three years progressive responsible experience in museum or archival work; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
