Job Description
The Community Relations Manager is an essential and strategically focused position for our organization. We are looking for a committed, experienced and energetic individual to manage professional community relations, marketing, branding, programming, outreach and public relations activities for the district. This position assists in the formulation of district philosophies, messages and goals regarding marketing and branding through the management, planning, development and coordination of community programs, graphics standards and publicity strategies. Also coordinates and produces external and internal communications documents/processes. Serves as a community liaison for the district to local community groups and organizations.Additional Info & Requirements
Starting salary is $4659/mo., but this could be increased based on knowledge, skills and experience. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated and extensive knowledge and experience in public relations, marketing, branding and media relations. Demonstrated and extensive knowledge and experience in planning and implementing programs and events for small and large audiences and communities. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills. Must possess high-level interpersonal, emotional intelligence and social skills that demonstrate tact, diplomacy and the ability to cooperate with and motivate others in support of a variety of strategic initiatives. Must work effectively with employees, committees, community groups and individuals. Project management experience and knowledge is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is required. A minimum of five years combined progressive experience in public relations and community relations/outreach positions is required. Extensive experience with marketing is strongly preferred. At least two years of supervisory experience is required. A combination of education and experience. Appropriate experience may substitute for the educational requirements.The Community
