Job Description

Serves at the public reference desk in the adult services department, answer public reference queries, responsible for the selection and maintenance of a determined area of adult level materials and other duties that may be assigned. The successful candidate will also be responsible for construction and maintenance of social networking sites for the library.

Additional Info & Requirements

Requires the ability to move around the building and to access materials on shelves. Work requires light lifting/carrying, standing, walking, bending and sufficient visual and physical capabilities to work on computers and associated equipment. Work requires repetitive motion to enter data on keyboard. Requires skills in working independently as well as with a group and communicating effectively with co-workers and a public of diverse backgrounds. Must have knowledge and experience with web 2.0 in building and maintaining social networking sites in a public library setting.
