Job Description

The College of Nursing, at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO seeks well-qualified applicants for the position of Resource Librarian. This position is located within the College of Nursing National Resource Center for Health and Safety in Child Care and Early Education (NRC) and is responsible for the implementation of strategic marketing for the newly published (web and in print) Caring for Our Children: National Health and Safety Performance Standards; Guidelines for Early Care and Education Programs, 3rd Edition (CFOC) and Standards-based products, and for implementation of the Standards Review Process, working with the NRC Project Director, faculty, CFOC Content Managers, staff, Standards Review Council, and MCHB federal project officer.

Required Qualifications: •Bachelors Degree in related field •Related librarian experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the degree. •Excellent communication skills both verbal and nonverbal •Bibliographic Management Software experience (such as EndNote or Reference Manager) •Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications: •Masters Degree or higher in Library Science. •Degree from an ALA accredited library school •Fluent in Spanish •Experience in academic librarianship •Health care experience highly desirable •Familiarity with Dreamweaver and Google.docs •Familiarity with social media •Interest in child advocacy
