Job Description
The Library Corporation's Denver Office is currently seeking an Implementation Project Manager to work with our Singapore Client and Office. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of a public library’s use of technology and service goals, be located in Denver, CO or Singapore with some Chinese language skills, and be able to employ standard project management methodology and process to supervise the evolution of new TLC customer accounts from contract signing to successful implementation. This position collaborates closely with Denver Operations and Leadership teams and our Singapore Office and Client Project Teams to execute project plans, report project progress, proactively identify risks and develop mitigation plans. Responsibilities Include: •Develop and manage technical operation and functional project plans against established goals, milestones, and time-lines •Manage implementation, testing, and roll-out activities of a large, multi-library, integrated library system along with integrated products •Effectively and proactively manages client expectations and engages in forward thinking project planning •Coordinates all project activities and ensures continuity of project vision and work plans across functional experts, data migration, technical staff and client •Monitor process performance and recommends process improvements aimed at elevating product quality •Obtains client sign-off on all contractual documents •Manages all project risks through a continual process of identifying, assessing, tracking, developing and executing risk mitigation strategiesAdditional Info & Requirements
Travel: •Ability to travel internationally •Ability to travel to customer sites - estimated at 50% (including internationally) Communication Skills: •Strong problem-solving, issue resolution, negotiation and diplomacy skills •Facilitates team and client meetings effectively •Keeps project team including stakeholders well informed •Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors •Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations •Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion •Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully •Some Chinese language skills are a plus, but are not necessary Technical Skills: •Possesses a high level of understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design •Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures •Proficient in scheduling tools such as MS Project and collaboration tools such as BasecampThe Community
