Due to retirement and career advancement, Sterling Correctional Facility and Denver Women's Correctional Facility each have need for a professional Librarian. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a team of Library Technicians, including hiring, training and evaluation. Under the direction of a Program Manager and Regional Librarian, this full-time position will plan, coordinate and supervise public/school-type (not law) library services to adult offenders at multiple libraries, where an average of 92% of the population uses the library. Required experience: two (2) years of professional library work experience in a public, school, academic, or special (not law) library is required. Required competencies: proficiency with Microsoft office suite and integrated library systems, customer service skills, ability to train and instruct staff and patrons, active listening skills, and strong written and oral communication skills.HR Info
